Course Overview

This course provides essential life-saving skills for healthcare professionals, including:

• Adult, Child, and Infant CPR
• Conscious and Unconscious Choking (all age groups)
• Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use and special considerations
• Use of Breathing Barriers and Bag Valve Masks (BVM)
• Two-Rescuer CPR techniques
• Cardiopulmonary emergencies and special resuscitation situations

Certification

• Same-day American Heart Association eCard issued upon successful course completion
• Certification valid for 2 years

Continuing Education (CEUs)

CEUs are available for:

• Dental Board licensees
• Board of Pharmacy licensees
• EMS personnel (through AHA)

For other professions, CEUs are typically not issued as BLS is considered a fundamental job requirement by their respective licensing boards.
