Course Structure:


Part 1: Self-paced online training modules (30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your experience).
Part 2: Skills practice and testing (approximately 2 hours) conducted at our facility.

 

Course Overview
The American Heart Association® (AHA) HeartCode® programs provide flexible, high-quality resuscitation training, empowering learners to manage their schedules effectively. These programs combine self-paced online modules with hands-on skills training, offering a comprehensive and convenient learning experience.

HeartCode Complete integrates robust online education with practical skills sessions, delivering consistent, top-tier resuscitation training tailored to the needs of both individuals and organizations.

Upon successful completion of both the online and hands-on components, participants will receive a ACLS course completion e-card, which is valid for two years.

 

Target Audience
This course is intended for healthcare professionals involved in managing cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies, as well as emergency response personnel.

Note: The American Heart Association strongly supports proficiency in AHA courses. While this course includes AHA instructional materials, it is not sponsored by the AHA. Any course fees beyond those for AHA materials do not benefit the AHA.

American Heart Association ACLS for Healthcare Provider - 2 Year Certification

In this blended classroom course, providers enhance their skills in treating adult victims experiencing cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies while earning their American Heart Association ACLS (AHA ACLS) for Healthcare Providers Course Completion e-Card.

The ACLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units.

Students receive a two-year certification e-Card through the American Heart Association upon completing the course. Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits are also available for this course.

This class is appropriate for:

    • Emergency medical professionals
    • Critical care professionals
    • Intensive care professionals
    • Other healthcare professionals responsible for directing or participating in the management of cardiovascular emergencies

ACLS Initial and BLS Renewal Combination

This ACLS Initial and BLS Renewal combination course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). ACLS is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

Who should take this course?

Any advanced provider or student in need of an ACLS Initial and BLS Renewal combination course. Please keep in mind; the student must possess a non-expired BLS certification.

Course Completion e-Card 

  • ACLS: Upon successful course completion, including demonstration of skills competency in all learning stations and passing the CPR and AED skills test, bag-mask ventilation skills test, a Megacode test, and a written test, students will receive an ACLS provider card, valid for two years
  • BLS: American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion e-Card is valid for two years.

 

 

American Heart Association ACLS for Healthcare Provider - 2 Year Certification

HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session.

Access codes will be emailed within 24 hours when orders are placed between 7:30 am–5:30 pm PST Monday–Friday. If an order is placed on Friday after 5 pm PST, the code will be emailed Monday morning.

Course Emphasis

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

The BLS HeartCode skills session is final part of the AHA’s blended learning course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session.

Heartsaver® CPR AED – Online

All Heartsaver Online courses are non- refundable.

Heartsaver® CPR AED Online Part 1 is a web-based, self-directed program. The program teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive. Content includes how to perform CPR and use an AED.

Access codes will be emailed within 24 hours when orders are placed between 7:30 am–5:30 pm PST Monday–Friday. If an order is placed on Friday after 5 pm PST, the code will be emailed Monday morning.

Course Emphasis

  • Reflects the latest science and education from the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC), the AHA’s Heartsaver CPR AED Course provides students the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of CPR and how to use an AED.

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED – Online

The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online course is taught in a blended learning format. Students must complete the online portion, followed by the hands-on skills session conducted by an American Heart Association Training Center instructor. Students who successfully complete the online course and skills session will receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion card, valid for two years. Please call and schedule the skills portion.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED provides students the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of first aid, CPR, and use of an AED. This course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, at home, or in the community.

This course offers the flexibility of two different course paths:

  • Heartsaver – Shorter Heartsaver course path offers the flexibility to add optional topics. Add on optional topics when required topics are completed.
  • Heartsaver Total – Comprehensive course designed for those requiring training to meet OSHA or other regulatory agency requirements.

Heartsaver First Aid Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid Blended Learning Course and teaches information needed for first aid training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor. 

Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) HeartCode Online

HeartCode courses are non-refundable.

HeartCode® PALS Part 1 is a web-based, self-directed program that teaches healthcare providers the knowledge and skills needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children.

This program uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning about pediatric advanced life support.

Access codes will be emailed within 24 hours when orders are placed between 7:30 am–5:30 pm PST Monday–Friday. If an order is placed on Friday after 5 pm PST, the code will be emailed Monday morning.

Course Emphasis

    • HeartCode PALS uses a personalized adaptive algorithm that sets students on the most efficient path to PALS mastery.
    • Students follow a continuously adapting learning path that is personalized by their own inputs: their performance and their self-reported confidence level related to each probing question.
    • Course content is presented in the form of self-directed learning content, probes, and Cognitive Assessment Activities.
    • The student has a choice of completing a pre-hospital or in-hospital contextualized track.

American Heart Association PALS Initial Course for the Healthcare Provider - 2 Year Certification

In this course, providers enhance their skills in treating pediatric victims of cardiopulmonary or other emergencies, while earning their American Heart Association PALS (AHA PALS) for Healthcare Providers Course Completion e-Card.

The PALS Initial course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other respiratory/medical emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units.

Students receive a two-year certification card through the American Heart Association upon completion of the course.

PALS Initial and BLS Renewal Combination

The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%.

Who should take this course?

Any advanced provider or student in need of a PALS Initial and BLS Renewal combination course. Please keep in mind; the student must possess a non-expired BLS certification.

Course Completion e-Card 

  • PALS: Students who successfully complete the PALS Course, including the following components, will receive a PALS Provider Course Completion Card, valid for two years:
    • Actively participate in, practice, and complete all learning stations
    • Complete the closed-book written exam with a minimum score of 84%
    • Pass the 1- and 2-Rescuer Child BLS with AED and 1- and 2-Rescuer Infant BLS Skills Tests
    • Pass 2 PALS core case scenarios (1 cardiac and 1 respiratory or shock) as a team leader, providing appropriate medical treatment and demonstrating effective team dynamics
  • BLS: American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Course e-Card will be administered after skills and written examinations have been successfully completed and will be valid for two years.

 

American Heart Association PALS Renewal Course for the Healthcare Provider - 2 Year Certification

In this course, providers enhance their skills in treating pediatric victims of cardiopulmonary or other emergencies, while earning their American Heart Association PALS (AHA PALSfor Healthcare Providers Course Completion e-Card.

The PALS Renewal Course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other respiratory/medical emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units.

Our board-certified and licensed Nurse Practioner provides the medical clearance required prior to all appropriate tests.
This process is secure and confidential. 

 

What to do:

  1. Register for the fittest and select add-ons you’re interested in.
  2. Complete the online medical evaluation form.
    1. Check your email for the password-protected link. (Please check spam if not in inbox)
    2. We will review you submission and send out an email with the medical evaluation results and our schedule calander.
  3. Schedule your appointment online.
  4. Bring the respirator you're intending on using to your appointment.
    1. Be prepared to spend 20-30 minutes completing your test. 
  5. You will receive a laminated wallet sized card after successfully passing the fittest which is good for one year or if you gain/lose 30 pounds within that year.

All records are kept for one year then shredded via HIPAA compliant standards, which requires you to shred documents and hard drives so that they are unreadable and can't be recreated.
